 How To Find Us

World Map

We welcome your visit to us at Margate. Our offices, manufacturing, research and development facilities are all located on one site a few miles from the centre of Margate. Broadstairs and Ramsgate are similar distances away. Road, rail, air and sea offer a choice of routes. It is as easy to reach us from several of Europe's major cities as from many in Britain.

Road Map

We are less than two hours drive from the centre of London and about half an hour by road from Dover. The A2 from London which is dual carriageway, leads to the M2. Most routes to the area arrive by the M2 and A299. The distance from the end of the M2 to the Hilger Crystals factory is approximately 23 miles and takes about 35 minutes.

Here is the recommended route from the M2 motorway.
  1. Continue to the eastern end of the M2, which joins the A299 just after the Canterbury/Dover exit (A2).
  2. Continue along the A299 following the Ramsgate signs to where it meets the A253.
  3. Take the second exit at this roundabout (ie. straight on), signposted for Ramsgate (A253)
  4. Continue past Manston Airport (Kent International Airport) to the roundabout.
  5. Take the first exit onto the A256, signposted Broadstairs, and continue to the Westwood Cross roundabout.
  6. Take the first exit onto the A254 and continue about half a mile to the Hornby/Scalextric factory on the left.
  7. Turn left into Enterprise Rd. Turn left at Continental Approach and continue along the left hand side of "Cummins Power Generation". The Hilger Crystals factory is at the extreme left hand side.
