John has 40 years’ experience working in the manufacturing industry both in the UK and abroad, joining Hilger Crystals in 2012 in an Product design & Production Engineering capacity.

He is highly skilled in manufacturing, engineering design, specialising in improving Hilger’s manufacturing processes to support the design and production of new products. John also has in depth project management skills.

John was appointed Managing Director in October 2025.
